We stayed here on our first time to Bali and we are very pleased to have spent time here! The owner, Stefan, picked us up at the airport upon arrival to Bali. When we arrived to the resort, very exhausted from a whole days worth of traveling, we were treated with friendly waitstaff who offered us a complimentary smoothie and a towel to cool off. We spent a lot of time relaxing at the resort, we enjoyed the infinity pool which was new, a complimentary massage and a room with lots of windows a fan and air con which was newly installed as well. We had a driver that took us to Git Git and to the twin lakes, he was very kind and was very eager to let us see the sites and very often offered to stop so that we could take photos. Stefan helped us with a really nice price to get to Amed to catch the fast boat to the Gili Islands back and to Ubud. We always had fresh water, fresh towels, the food was always tasty and the waitstaff were always kind and eager to help! And although you had to have a driver to get around, as it was very remote, the scenery and views of this resort were absolutely breathtaking. I am very pleased we got to enjoy our first nights in Bali in the Hamsa Resort!

My partner and I recently honeymooned here. Loved it.Great views.Great staff. Great food. Amazing service. Very friendly and helpful owner and management. We had a credit card problem before leaving and the owner organised someone from the bank to come up immediately to help sort it out before we left, they went out of there way to help rectify that and we couldn't have appreciated it more!
Only advice I can give is take travel sickness medication before the drive here as its long and windy. Although the stay here made it well and truely worth it.
Thankyou

I stayed here for 3 days, yoga was only available on the first day then the lady didn't come for the following 2 days.
Also to get to lovina the resort charges a huge fee through their driver, & it is almost impossible to get there any otherway unless you hire a scooter. In saying this I did hire a scooter through the resort, the owner himself gave me his scooter as I was new to driving and he said his had the best breaks and would rather if I crashed that I crashed his to avoid any troubles. The cost was the same as they charge in Lovina, & they also gave me lessons on the scooter for free.
Nice resort, food is reasonable and owner is friendly.

The Hamsa is a pretty place to go to and enjoy a relaxing stay. The bungalows are lovely, the pool is brand new and very pleasant, the breakfast they serve was really good, it's homemade and they get it right! If you have ever been to Bali you have probably noticed that they tend to make pancakes out of crepe batter and this is just difficult to eat, the Hamsa knows and makes real crepes thin but generous.
The main reason this hotel is not getting a 'VERY GOOD' review is because if its staff which clearly lacks training. The restaurant offers great food, but the waiters are a little slow: they waited too long to take our order, did not realize when we were done with our starters and there was a good 20/30 min wait between our starters and the main dish. This is too long. Also, we had an ants invasion in our room, we told the staff who came to have a look, decided that crushing them with one foot would be useful.. We asked for an anti insect spray they went to get it and did not even think of sweeping off the floors after we had about 30-40 or more ants on our bathroom flour. The next day we told the owner who took care about it and was really helpful.

In conclusion The Hamsa is a great place which is worth going to BUT it needs to have it's staff trained (even for manicures) very seriously to actually be noticed as a great place.

This resort is something special. Located approx. 200m of altitude up the mountain with an awesome view over the ricefields and the ocean. We spend 4 days of our honeymoon here. The owner was very friendly and helpful as was his staff. Food is o.k., the tours offered a were very nice (we did the dolphine watching and visited the waterfall). All in all we had a really good time. Will come again for sure.
