Stayed for a short break. Staff, accomodation, cleanliness - all more than OK. Food - breakfast (including the good coffee) and evening meals very good. Drinks from the bar... on tap ok , bottled - warm and very dissapointing. When you expect a drink to be served chilled and it's not, shame. There was a sign outside by the road that they were wanting bar staff, the sooner the better as it could make a big improvement.

the Old rectory served some excellent meat (a primary requirement) and plenty of it - but the "veg" was less exciting and pretty "average". Nevertheless the meal was good value for money and we are likely to return at some stage

We were part of a group of 24 for an evening meal at the Old Rectory. The private room we had was well presented and the service excellent. The meal itself was very good and served promptly without rushing us un necessarily . The bar prices were good as well.
We would willingly return.

We found our room quite suitable, the bed was large and comfortable, and very peaceful surroundings on the ground floor.
Breakfast, however, just kept getting better this morning!! Starting with a selection of cereals, followed by a choice of two different fruit bowels set one up for the cooked breakfast. Their sausages are all gluten-free, which meant my wife could have the sausage. Then a selection of something like 10 different handmade jams to help yourself from with one's toast to conclude made it a breakfast to remember!

Stayed here for 5 nights while touring Norfolk. Overall we had a great experience here. Best of all was the staff who were both incredibly helpful and friendly. Special thanks to the lady who sorted out better seating for me at breakfast. Other points of note, all rooms on ground floor so no stairs to face if an issue. The hotel in general is well appointed, and the large garden is magnificent. The meal we had in the restaurant was excellent. Location is good for both Norwich and the Broads and your within an hours drive of most of the major attractions of the area.

Nowhere however is perfect and we did have a couple of very minor niggles. Firstly the decor in places was starting to show it's age, secondly while the breakfast was high quality and well cooked a greater variety of items would have been nice like porridge, kippers, croissants etc, finally the hotel is very popular for Sunday lunch and weekday meetings so can be busy at those times.

These as I said were very minor niggles, we'd happily go back here any time. A great hotel.

Room tip: All rooms good
