We had a pleasant stay at Railay Village Resort. The hotel is in a perfect location. The rooms are a little bit outdated, but they are still nice. I was worried about the breakfast after reading so many awful reviews. The selection could have been better, but it wasn't bad. Staff were nice, but we found them a little less attentive than all the other hotels that we stayed at in Thailand. The woman that worked the tour guide desk was very nice though and did go out of her way to try and arrange a return boat for us to Ao Nang, which we really appreciated.
My suggestion to the hotel would be to update the rooms, offer more selection for breakfast and when guests check-in, don't start off by telling them all the hotel rules and penalties. It made us feel like we were checking into a hostel.More
