After hiking to the viewpoint the lagoon is only a few hundred metres extra BUT the way to it is down fairly large, sometimes vertical rock faces where you have to make use of ropes of questionable quality and maintenance.
Only recommended if you're OK with heights, rocks and ropes as you have no safety gear.
Going down is scarier than coming up but its worth the walk IF you're fit and brave enough.

Semi-strenuous hike/climb up, and then down, with a beautiful payoff. (And then up and back down on return.) Be prepared to get dirty, even on a dry day.

Me and my girlfriend took the trip without any preparations! We had shoes, cap, bag everything. The sand/mud will stain your clothes, be awere.
Use your feet, bring water and cool down in the lagoon!

Be prepared for a long hike with a lot of challenging climbing and sweat! The lake is a beautiful place, but it is very muddy and difficult to reach and get around. The water is cold and nice to swim in, but not deep and the ground is sharp.

Go, but go prepared! Dont wear white clothes or flip flops

Yes the lagoon is ok, it's not the most amazing place to be but the climbing down and up is really good fun.

Try be a little bit fit to do this, wear proper shoes to give your feet the best chance of not being cut.

Swim as a reward and then dry off to sweat again on the way back out!
