This is possibly one of the nicest places we have stayed and we have stayed in a lot of hotels and guest houses!
The farm is a working farm and the cottage area beside the main house has been converted into spacious B&B accommodation. Our bedroom was extremely large and we had some of the best nights sleeps ever!
There is a kitchen and living area downstairs with all essentials so whilst it’s B&B accomodation you also have the benefit of being able to bring back some lunch with you and eat that in the comfort of the kitchen :)
The house has a deer farm and they also have wild boars - a stroll among the deer was a lovely way to spend a morning.
Although the house is a 5 min walk into Mitchelstown it feels like you are out in the middle of the country - it is so relaxing and quiet.
BEST BREAKFAST:
I can honestly say that we had the best cooked breakfast there that I have had anywhere! It is served up in the kitchen in the main house. We would have expected organic eggs as it is a working farm but we did not expect venison sausages and wild boar sausages! There was real love and attention poured into everything and nothing was too much trouble for Aoife and the other two ladies working there.
Which brings me to my final feedback - the staff were all so lovely and welcoming. Two of the ladies working there were from Mitchelstown so their knowledge of the area and things to do etc was great. They simply could not have been more welcoming or accommodating.
We would highly recommend Ballinwillin House to anyone wanting a country retreat yet still being close to a town, Cork City etc.

A delightful experience... Rooms were cosy and had all amenities. Breakfast was wonderful and what a variety. The place is situated in a quite area and ample parking in their private courtyard.

Owners were very friendly and hospitable especially since we arrived very late during the night.

Highly recommended

We had a really wonderful experience at Ballinwillin House recently, the food and hospitality was better than we'd experience before and really look forward to returning. It's a unique place full of charter and really the most lovely and interesting hosts.

Room Tip: There are 4 rooms in the main house and 6 rooms in the buildings next to it.
