Excellent large comfortable rooms. Not really suitable for those with impaired mobility though as “ground floor” rooms are accessed via 9 steps off the corridor and although there is a lift, it isn’t possible to get between the rooms and restaurant/bar without going via steps. A portable ramp had been removed in the morning and my husband had difficulty getting to the breakfast room as the steps don’t have a hand rail.

This hotel was excellent. Every member of staff were very helpful and friendly.
There was a range of food available which was suitable for all types of travellers.
We travelled with a 18 month old and he was very happy with the small play area outside.
The fresh orange machine at breakfast was a great feature.
We will return here when we travel again.

A well run family business providing home cooked food, good accommodation and discounted fuel with very easy access to and from the motorway.
Rooms are clean and comfortable and some of the staff speak English.
We will use this hotel again on our next trips.

Room Tip: Rooms at the rear have mountain views.

We stopped for breakfast on the road and instead of the usual greasy bar we found a newly renovated modern cafe, part of a hotel, with friendly staff, serving excellent breakfast and low prices. A great place to stop.

We have passed the hotel more than 30 times during our trek to and from the ports but never stayed. Fancying a change we stayed there at the end of November, arriving in the late afternoon. It's an informal family run hotel but it's well appointed and very clean. We had a room with a view although working out how the windows open was a bit of intelligence test. It was comfortable but budding hotel inspectors might pick up some minor repair issues such as wonky light switches- it didn't bother us. A 15 minute walk takes you to village which has a cosy looking bar and a posh bakery - you can buy it's produce in the hotel shop. We had a drink in hotel bar prior to our meal, with the granny de casa on colouring duties with small children. It started to get busy with locals/regulars which is a good sign so we retired to the restaurant. We pushed the boat out with the roast suckling lamb followed by leche frita. If you are used to Costa del Sol prices it might seem a bit expensive, but it was about right for similar places inland and we'll worth it. If you want the buffet breakfast you need to book and the freshly made fruit juice, cereals, cooked meats, cheese, fruit, pastries and cakes will stoke you up for the day. If you want less there is the cafeteria. Check out was a friendly affair with the owner who speaks good English and is happy to talk about the area - you get a voucher for a reduction at the filling station next door- we had filled up just before we arrived. We would stay there again with it's secure parking and it looks like a interesting area although information is bit lacking. We saw signs for a Railway Station but didn't check it out but if it exists it might be possible to have a visit to Madrid.
