We have been going to this restaurant over the last 5 years, about 2 or 3 times over the summer months. The new owners have made some great changes, the indoor seating is new and redecorated in a charming, inviting style. We sat outside on a lovely Sunday lunch time with our son and his family, four adults our grand daughters of 3 and 1. The aperitifs were accompanied by a selection of cucumber sticks, cherry tomatoes and a soft cheese and herb dip, delightful. For starter we all opted for the Red mullet fillets in a filo parcel, great flavours and generous portions with lovely salad garnish. For mains my wife and I chose the special of the day coquillette, delicious, with saute potatoes and haricot beans, our son selected the steak and our belle fille the duck brochette, both cooked to perfection and all generous portions. Our petite fille had the menue enfant, a superbly cooked burger which she loved. Our deserts were a little disappointing, a little heavy, hence very good not great. The service was superb, friendly, charming and efficient. We will be back and happy to recommend.

Who wouldn't want to dine out under a lovely tree canopy with twinkly lights?

The food, service and wine are all good and the price is good given the quality of food.

This is a regular spot for us but you do need to book if you're going with a group and you should also take your mosquito repellent as very rural (and lovely) setting.

That's true that we reserve without anticipation but we had our table for 8. There are 3 combinations, main course, start + main course and start+main course+desert at 18, 25 and 30€. As started I had 'assiette rebombier' and it was ok but as main course that was lamb it was not cooked enough to serve…

Lovely cooked trout with good wine. I imagine this place to be a perfect place to eat outside in the summer, however, we went on a cold April day when neither the fireplace or heating was on, unfortunately lacked ambience when we visited.

Really in the middle of nowhere but well worth seeking out.
You eat in the tree shaded area in front of the restaurant.
Home cooked, using local or their own produce ,the food is classic simple French cooking at its best.
The opposite of fast food.
Only criticism : the wine list was a little limited when we were there.
Reservation necessary in high season.
To conclude , certainly the best of the five or six restaurants we ate at during our stay in the area.
Highly recommended !
