It's always a gamble choosing a 5 star hotel - will it really live up to my hopes for a perfect vacation? This Masseria does that and more.
My husband and I stayed for almost a week while waiting for my son's wedding at a neighboring Masseria. We had several friends staying in this hotel and by the time we all left, we felt as though the staff were part of our family. Each and every one of the women who served us, or helped us, or cleaned the room, or answered questions was so lovely, charming, and gracious that their smiles became a wonderful part of our day.
I could go on and on about the details of how the entire staff just got it "right" but suffice it to say that after one request, they all acted as though they could read our minds.
The hotel is beautiful - the grounds, the rooms, the spa area. Just immaculate and spectacular. Interestingly, the hotel was sold out and my friends and I kept remarking that there was hardly anybody about. Only a few at the magnificent pool or at breakfast. I don't know where everybody was, but you can feel sublimely indulged in the most lovely private way no matter where you go on the grounds.
