Dropped in for dinner on the spur of the moment and that was the best decision I made all week. Had the salmon from the specials board which was outstanding. Grilled with maple syrup and whole grain mustard it was moist full of flavour and had the most wonderful crispy skin. Crushed baby potatoes and Brussels sprout slaw gave it a festive twist. Mouth watering. We followed this with the Chocolate and Tonka bean tart with After Eight sorbet. What is a Tonka bean I hear you say? Me too. It gave the chocolate a delicious tart cherry like flavour and the minty sorbet was a fantastic counter point. All in all a great end to the week. Thank you Village Inn.
