We really enjoyed our stay! The rooms are very clean, the staff is nice and friendly and the food is awesome. The hotel has 4 different beaches close by. The bus station is just across the street so it's very convenient if you want to visit Chania. All in all, we made a great choice by choosing Elotia for our stay. Thanx! ;)

When we arrived at this lovely family run hotel in Agioi Apostoli at 11 pm, following a 2 hour delay due to Air Traffic Controller’s strike, Manolis, the owner, was waiting for us. The transfer in a taxi from the airport took about 25 minutes. My husband, daughter and I had a very comfortable triple room in a quiet position in the small complex. The furniture was modern and the king size bed very comfortable with crisp white sheets. The bathroom was small but the shower did have a curtain to help prevent a wet floor. The room was serviced every day and the fluffy white towels changed every other day. There was a small balcony with two chairs and a clothes airer, and the room had air conditioning.

The breakfast and evening meals were served on the roof terrace, which gave a good view down to the sea. Breakfast consisted of a good variety including: orange slices, muesli, yogurt, eggs, bacon, sausage, beans and croissants and cake, as well as meat/cheese, and all followed by unlimited juice, tea or coffee . No one would ever go hungry! The evening meal also had a good variety: lasagne, cheese pie, various pork dishes and pasta, potatoes/chips. There was a good choice of salads and a limited choice of dessert: mainly jelly, melon and cake.

The grounds were very well kept as was the pool. Although there were only 6 sunbeds there were also some director-type chairs but the pool area was usually quiet. The nearest beach was about a 5 minute walk down hill, although there are three other beaches within a few minutes walk. I personally liked this one the best and the beach cafe served a brilliant cup of Tetley tea!

The bus stop for Chania was a minute’s walk through to the main road (cost l.50). We went to Chania on the bus and had a walk round the harbour where there were many restaurants and cafes.

All in all Hotel Elotia is a brilliant place to stay and one of my favourite places. The people and location are superb and we hope to return one day soon.
