We are 4 person for a family and, booked a room according to us and when i saw the room have a disappoitment. Because, there was a bad smell in room and there was no any wiev. Because, room was on level ground and there was plants beyond 1-2 meters from rooms windows. When we asked another room on another flour, they said that all family rooms are same flour. So, they gave another room same flour and we spend 2 days in there. Staff were very friendly and all of them could speak english very fluently. Breakfast was not perfect for foreign tourist it was according to more scandinavian peoples. When you arrive hotel first time, you can feel to come the summer house. Because, hotel has a perfect garden like on pictures.

We, a family of 4, spent 6 nights at Borupgaard. It is a nice, clean, open and airy hotel with contemporary furniture in a very nice countryside setting close to the coast. It has a nice restaurant and a spa section.
We stayed in a suite on the bottom floor facing a closed court. Perhaps not the best choice of location for a suite, but it was big and comfortable with 2 bathrooms, both of which sadly lacked pegs to hang towels or bathrobes on. In a spa hotel you go through both like a wildfire. The suite had 2 small flatscreen TV's with a limited selection of TV-channels and none for children. When you travel with children you realize the importance of Cartoon Network and the like.
Breakfast was very nice with a good healthy selection. We were especially impressed by the juice bar which featured 3 different kind of fresh juices (spinach, pineapple and? one with carrots, ginger and? and finally a freshly pressed orange juice). The freshly baked bread was delightful, but thinned out after a couple of hours, so dont be late. The only disappointments were the scrambled egg and the bacon. The first was clearly powder based and the latter ovencooked to cinders. The first couple of days breakfast was served in the big and very very cold breakfast room upstairs. A number of guests complained about the temperature, including me, to which the desk staff said; "We will get right on it - I will talk to staff in the breakfast room immediately" very chirpy and helpfull. But you did not and you could not. I talked to the staff in the breakfast room and they told me the coldness is due to a constructional error and a flaw in your aircon system. It cannot be helped. Please tell the truth. And, might I add, when you promise more mini-croissants - in a couple of minutes - please deliver, because my children are waiting. Untill the end of breakfast in fact. Minor details, but it counts.
The spa is very nice, but naturally designed and built for couples, not for children, who have limited hours of access. It would be nice with alternatives. For instance Comwell could, with a limited investment, refurbish the very tired "Childrens playroom" with the ping-pong table and the big flatscreen, which is the only thing that separates it from a standard meeting room.
Apart from those minor details and suggestions, we had a very pleasant stay and can recommend Borupgaard to couples who would like a quiet weekend in a rural setting close to the beach, Elsinore and Louisiana.

Room Tip: Go for rooms on the top floor. Rooms on the socalled ground floor has that basement feel to them.

My wife and I stayed there for four nights last week and we were impressed with just about everything. Nice room, fantastic dining and excellent front desk service. One of the receptionists even offered to iron a shirt for me !! Thanks a lot !!

Room Tip: Suggest a high floor room in summer time as you need to sleep with the windows open - no airco.

For the third year in a row I'm back at Comwell Borupgaard. I have traveled with family and friends, and I've been here for a romantic weekend for two. Absolutely love the place. You wake up to birds chirping in the morning, breakfast is excellent, creative and an experience for the senses (the hotel's chef has won several awards).

The rooms are spacious, airy and clean. The beds are large, soft and quite new. And not to mention the SPA department .. The hotel has its own Aqua-SPA where you 195dkk have access to the sauna, salt sauna (has done wonders for balancing my problems), steam sauna, body ice, tropical rain, whirlpool, heated seats, Kneip-foot baths and much more. I have also tried several of our treatments and therapists are really talented.

The only drawback I can give the hotel this summer is that building work outside (they expand SPA-house) destroys some of the aesthetics of the site. Breakfast is also moved up in the hotel's conference this season, which is a big disappointment, since I had been looking forward to enjoy breakfast on the terrace as in previous years.

Anyway - my highest recommendations!

Room Tip: Since part of the SPA department is located in the hotel's lower floor, I would recommend to book a room in the second or third floor. Certainly towards the woods. Here is the best air capabilities, and very quiet.

We booked this without knowing much about it, we wanted to stay a place outside Copenhagen to enjoy the very warm weather by the coast on our roadtrip from Norway.
The beach in Snekkersten is very nice.Hotel rooms were nice, good size and clean. Nothing "special", also quite warm with no air condition.
Sorroundings were great and relaxing. We also enjoyed a great 3 course dinner with excellent service. Good organic food all the way, also for breakfast. Would have liked to stay and try the SPA and more facilities, but we moved on. Not the best hotel for kids, its a "quiet" place. Definately recommend it for relaxing or a quiet stopover. Not much to do around the hotel in the evening without car or train.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the "woods", that must be more quiet and not so warm as ours on the "inside"..
