This is an upscale golf resort with miles of hiking trails. They also have bicycles the guests can use. It is a beautiful country setting away from the city and is absolutely quiet at night. Very restful. The cuisine is very good as well. Rooms are comfortable and modern.

A fantastic hotel to stay in, beautiful surroundings, parts of the old hotel soaked in tradition and history. the modern part tasteful and elegant.
We were well looked after by all the courteous staff who were more than helpful with even the smallest detail to make our stay pleasant.
Rooms were more than adequate, good size, clean and with all amenities needed.
Food was fresh and plentiful.
Recomend this hotel as one of the best to stay in whilst in Norway. The only negative is that you will need a car to get here,, there are only taxis available. However, once you are here you may not wish to leave.
A luxury break at a competative price.

Room Tip: A room overlooking the golf course will ensure a very quiet night.

I stayed for two days attending a small seminar. Wonderful to be in such a idyllic place only 30 minutes drive from the city centre of Oslo. Losby is a quiet and peaceful hotel with lots of history and tradition. The last time I was here was in the summer time, now the snow laid white and cold. The lunch buffet offered more than plenty, and the fixed four-course menu for dinner was very good. I had a large room with a convenient bed (I hate it when it is too hard), and it was a big plus that the window could be opened.
They do not have a gym which is a minus, and the beer selection at the bar could be improved. But all in all this is a very nice place to stay and I will come back.

beautiful old common rooms of the original main mansion house- rest of hotel is simple and perfunctory- rooms- no safe that i recall- and could use better lighting and updated linens and furnishings but overall fine- restaurant and bar was nice, large and offerings on the buffet were plentiful. Wifi worked fine and free.

Room Tip: 2nd floor not above the driveway or golf facilities entrance

I wanted to thank losby gods for a fantastic stay. We only stayed for one night but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was in a lovely location and the establishment was absolutely gorgeous and we received a very warm welcome from the receptionist. The wonderful hospitality stayed consistent until check out time! I also wanted to mention how much we enjoyed sitting at the bar/lounge with two amazing gentlemen who KNOW their craft. Wow! I had the smoothest appletini and another lovely drink made of up of vanilla sky, lime and soda. We also had the pleasure of hearing a lovely piano man play who provided excellent entertainment and smiles all the way. Rooms were great and bed was comfy. House keeping was also smiley and very sweet so I cannot fault a thing. If you are driving into Oslo do yourself a favor and stay here instead of anywhere in the city. You wont regret it, especially when you see the gorgeous view from the window at breakfast time!
