Took my 8 year old grandson on a very wet and windy day, we will have to go back at least twice to see it all. I was a bit sceptical at first until I entered the building, so much stuff and so much information. Just 2 gripes though, 1. the Cafe was freezing, which made it a little uncomfortable, but at least we got a seat, people were not hanging around much. 2. I know it would be expensive to put in but a covered walkway between the two hangers would have been appreciated..
Did not go in to see the internals of Concord as I felt a little embarrassed as the lift to get in to see the inside was at the front of the not considerable queue was going a bit too far.I will give it a go next time in term time when it should be a little quieter. I should have said earlier that I am in a powerchair and the rest of the disabled access is excellent.

A good visit overall and good value for money, but the cafe was not able to cope with large crowds ( we went during school holiday), the food we finally managed to get was poor quality.

Thanks for your feedback kgwalsh2018 - we are sorry that you had problems when you visited our cafe, we hope you understand this was down to the volume of people visiting during the Easter holidays, but we will ensure your feedback is passed on - do come again with your free return tickets!

I booked online and the process was easy. We went in to the museum bypassing the pay desk and therefore didn’t get a map of the site which meant we moved from exhibit to exhibit in a random way and didn’t follow the timeline of the company. Arrows on the floor may help and would give the children a trail to follow.
The Concorde exhibition was excellent and I really liked the projection onto the fuselage of the aero plane. We didn’t manage to get inside the plane as it was half term and the museum was crowded, an early morning visit going straight to Concorde will remedy that.

Thanks so much for your review MDDG_12 we are so pleased that you had a great visit. By booking online you would hopefully have received your pre-arrival email where we included the map, but sorry if you missed it. We hope you also saw that we have an 'Alfie Fox trail' which you can pick up for children (and adults!) to go on a fact finding tour around the museum and also guides them around the exhibits in a fun way!

We are so pleased you enjoyed the Concorde projection show. Your tickets entitle you to free returns for a year giving you lots of opportunities to come again when it is quieter to go on board. We look forward to seeing you again!

The booking process was easy and I would encourage them to stop people printing emails but just to present a bar code when they arrive on a phone for example. The cashier could have been friendlier and suggested options for me and the children as we arrived. We took a map, not offered one and off we went.

The children wanted lots of interactive hands on activities aka 'We the Curious' style and they got some of this but wanted more. There were not enough air plane seats, cockpits, costumes, etc. to try and on and play with. This could be improved. Not all the interactive electronic exhibits were working and while they liked punching their card it was difficult and needs improving to make it more child friendly. We also couldn't find all the stamping machines. My children age 7 and 9 years don't want to read text about exhibits.

Concorde was good and the projection on the side was nice. The video about first woman to fly and design a plane was too quiet and we would have preferred one about Concorde such building it and seeing it flying which is what is was made for! The children enjoyed making paper air planes. We had no queue on Easter Sunday when we visited to access Concorde but signs on the seats asking children not to sit on them is a bit much as that is what children want to do.

Cafe served reasonable food options and ok prices but no children specific cold options available, this needs addressing.

Shop was well stocked and could have more Aerospace souvenirs.

Overall a good few hours spent here and glad we can return again with our ticket making the cost more reasonable.

Thanks for your review red999doc, we will ensure it gets feedback to the different departments. As it is the Easter holidays we are presently showing Miss Todd as it is a child friendly animation but we will continue to share different videos in our lecture theatre, and have in the passed shared Concorde archive footage. As a museum preservation and conservation are very important to us which is why we ask that people do not sit on the seats whilst on board Concorde - this is purely to ensure she is preserved for many years to come for people to continue to enjoy seeing her in her current state and to prevent wear and tear. We hope you understand.

We regularly update our cafe menu and have a selection of warm dishes for children but we do also have lots of cold sandwiches in our fridges made daily which we hope your children would enjoy.

Our shop has lots of Aerospace Bristol souvenirs, from mugs and magnets to fudge, pens and sweets, please do ask a host to help you locate these different items.

We look forward to seeing you again!

After the disappointment of the activity I had organised being cancelled we went here on a whim and what a delight. Very welcoming staff. Slightly disjointed layout but really interesting trails that kept two 5 and 8 yr old boys happy. Quite a long queue to see Concorde but compared to Legoland, nothing! Great that within the ticket you can revisit over the next 12 months. Learnt lots.
