“Overpriced”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 September 2011

Staff was less than enthusiastic. I asked a question and the woman was too busy to help; too busy checking her schedule for the week. Sixteen dollars for 2 adults and one teenager! Overpriced for skeleton viewing and a20 minute movie. If you are late for the movie they herd you in like the animals on display! Spend your money elsewhere.

“Informative -- worth the money”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 August 2011

This is a lovely new center out beyond the Whitehorse, (which is only four minutes from everywhere in Whitehorse!) I had stumbled upon it's existence when, along with another couple we walked into the MacBride Museum of Yukon History and quickly changed my mind. I don't mind paying $5 to look at snowshoes, but $10 was too high a price to pay for the exhibit. At any rate, this couple had been to the Yukon Berginia Center and had loved it for the price $5. We went there and were looking at the entrance display, when one of the administrators told us that she had just started an informative move that she knew we would want to see and that we could pay our admission upon leaving! Lovely gesture and the movie was certainly worth the effort. It is very family/kid friendly and after the movies (two were included), there was a question and answer period and you were able to feel some of the fossils retrieved! Loved it!

“very nice”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 July 2011

WE enjoyed this small museum. It is the best deal to get a combined ticket with the transportation museum, both of them of $9/adult. We got there just in time to watch the video about the area and that was very informative and a great start to our trip around the yukon. We drove around the yukon rememeber bits and peices from the video and seeing things featured in the video. It is a bit outside of town, but we had a car rental and that made it a lot easier. Whitehorse is small, so I car rental is the best way to go, cabs add up really quickly. WE drove around and see everything we wanted to see, we were not be careful about the km's as we were willing to pay the overage, and we put on 99km including going back to the airport when we left, and we dropped the care there, saving us$15-20 on shuttles.

The Berengia Centre is certainly worth a visit. Recommend the films as well as walking through the exhibits.

“Go on Canada day.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 May 2011

On July 1st of every year you can partake in Canada day festivities at the Boringia Centre, enjoy a slice of cake, cookies and beverages which, along with admission, are free.
Otherwise it is not worth the price, you can walk through the place in 9 minutes flat.
