I asked the owner of the motel to cancel my reservation. She said that she would, but she didn't. Later, she said I was the one who was supposed to cancel, despite telling me earlier that she would take care of it. I tried to get a refund from Expedia (who I booked the room through), but they basically said it was her word against mine. I was on the phone for hours and ended up having to pay for the cancelled reservation anyways. Avoid at all costs!
