“Perfect getaway spot on the St. Lawrence”
Reviewed 4 October 2018 for a stay in September 2018

This loft is small but beautifully designed and decorated, and it offers wonderful views of the St. Lawrence River. We used it as a base for exploring Quebec City and were pleased with our choice. We made the easy, 40-minute drive to the Lévis ferry, which offers plentiful parking, and we thoroughly enjoyed the ferry ride across the St. Lawrence straight to the heart of old Quebec. Much less stressful than driving into the city! We absolutely loved exploring the old walled city, but we were happy to return to our peaceful refuge on the river at the end of each day.

“Peaceful, comfortable, and beautiful”

We loved sitting on the patio watching the boats and listening to the birds and the waves After 4 days in Quebec City, wew drove 30 minutes to this lovely setting for the restful, relaxed part of our vacation. This is a peaceful place right on the banks of the St Lawrence River; banks" here means a rocky edge sloping into the water. You can walk along this "beach" for a half hour or more in each direction.

The house is very new, and although it is right on route 138 we weren't bothered by traffic noise at all, either day or night. This rental is the bottom floor of the house, a comfortably furnished living room/dining room, nicely eequipped kitchen, bedroom, and bath. Floor-to-ceiling winidows in the living/dining/kitchen area face the river. We spent almost alal our time out on the covered patio, which has another dining table and a variety of comfortable seating. The hot tub on the patio is a nice one. While we visited, there were three people staying upstairs for part of the time, but we rarely heard them. The only negative at all was that the hot tub is shared with the people upstairs, and this particular group liked to smoke there. Not a big deal.

Practical considerations: There are full-service grocery stores about 12 km away in either direction, and an especially nice IGA if you want to go just a bit farther. We stopped there on our way back from the walking in the park along the Jacques Cartier River. Directions are in the booklet the hosts provide at the house. That booklet also provides suggestions for other nearby outdoor activities.

This rental is a good place for couples. It wouldn't be attractive to people who want to party, since it's very quiet. I wouldn't want to use it as base for a visit to Quebec City per se, because I wouldn't enjoy the drive into the city and out again every day. But once we'd spent some time in the city, we loved our tiime tere and would definitely go back.

“Million Dollar View”

This Property boasts the best of everything. Breathe taking views of the Saint Lawrence River. Nice Outdoor living area and a Hot Tub to relax in both the morning and the evening under the stars. The interior was very modern and clean. Comfortable seating options and full Kitchen. The Bathroom was top notch and also has a full laundry service available which is great for longer stays. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable.

It is tucked away in the small community of Neuville but has lovely vegetable stands minutes away in both directions along with full service grocery stores close by. With both Old Quebec City and Downtown Quebec City only roughly the 25 minutes away.

Our trip was lovely and this property really made coming "home" each night a treat.
Thank you!
