First off - the decor is incredibly beautiful. I enjoy the detail put into this place, it makes for the perfect atmosphere.

That being said, around the time we went it was peak hour so the place was quite loud and crowded. There was also a ton of construction on the street right outside so that took away from some of the view.

I had their almond croissant and their iced coffee - not sure what their food items are like but I enjoyed my little snack. It was a tad overpriced but I expect that from any coffee shop that is trying to be high end. Had no problems with the service despite it being super busy.

I would like to give 3 1/2 points. I guess the location can be really nice in summer. But now in Feb they have a simple wooden construction at the entrance to protect the cafe from the cold and wind outside. That's ok but there could be a bigger solution. It destroys the nice old interior in a way. But also the bright wood they are using for the tables make the place look more simple then it has to be. Conclusion: nice old architecture (windows, ceiling, stuck) but everything that was added by the owner is not really supporting the atmosphere.
But still it's a nice, cozy place to stay for a wile and warm up again from the cold outside.
The cafe was strong, the soup of the day pretty good.
The girls behind the counter are friendly.

This was a great place for coffee, food, internet and work. Loved the multi levels and the water bottles all around. I worked there for 3 hours and the coffee and ambiance were great. Wish I had found this place earlier in my stay!

This cafe is everything you could want in a charming downtown Montreal cafe. Delicious coffee, amazing almond croissants, hipster (fancy hipster, not granola hipster) decor, hanging plants and friendly baristas. Very popular spot though so you might have a hard time finding a table if you go with friends.

A very good place for a cup of coffee and a light snack. The teas are okay, but expensive as what you expect in old Montreal area.
