“Food is delicious but overpriced”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 February 2012

The restaurant is nice, part of the old port. The 1st thing you notice is the high prices of the entrees and main dishes. This increases your expectation, you think "This is going be good". We decided on "Chasse et Peche" dish at 48$ which is a small piece (2-3oz) kobe beef and a lobster tail over a salad. Although delicious, if was more worth between 35-40$. The vegetable side is charge separately at 8$. My friend had the same dish but felt her lobster was a little too chewy than "melt in your mouth" somewhat disappointed. When she mentioned it to the waiter, he was apologetic but nothing more. While deciding whether or not to have desert, the waiter came a few time to determine if we made up our minds, it seemed more "pushy" than attentive. Too bad. The desserts start at 10$++. For entree, main meal, dessert, coffee & 1 alcoholic beverage will set you back about 90$/pp +tax+ tip.

“a culinary experience in Montreal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 February 2012

Our first trip to this restaurant and we were excited to try it. By 8 pm on a Wednesday evening in January the place is packed. Obviously, we are not the first to hear about this place! Super food. Great service . Not cheap! But we were treated to a chef that can deliver a real culinary experience.

“always busy; excellent food choices”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 January 2012

in "old montreal" there are not many poor restaurants. this is one of the best we've been to. not inexpensive, but excellent service and a wonderful menu. excellent wine choices as well. but hey, this is montreal. montrealers know and love good food, and know their wine.
