The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, dishes etc.Super clean apt.and quiet.
We took the bus/metro everywhere and it is a great location for both.Several restaurants close by..especially loved the Greek restaurant a 5 minute walk away.Best food since Greece!
Elizabeth is lovely and helpful. We will recommend this unit to others and stay again if in Montreal.
We found this lovely apartment by chance through tripadvisor after we recognized that we will arrive at the Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend: most hotels, B&Bs tripled the prices with a minimum stay of 4 nights not so Elisabeth. Everything was really really good. Quiet neighborhood, supermarket, shops and restaurants in walking distance, subway station within three blocks and 10 to 15 minutes away from downtown Montreal. The apartment itself was clean, excellent equipped and spacious. Everything we needed was there. Just for those who are a little bit taller, please be aware the bed has Queen size, but we slept very well. Last but not least, our host Elisabeth was very friendly and gave us helpful information for the city on arrival.
Buy a pass for the subway and you are easily 15 minutes from Old Town. Very simple to get around. We took the subway everywhere. The Champs de Mars stop will get you in walking distance of Old Town and you follow the painted marks on the sidewalk. We also took the Subway to the Mont Royal stop and took the 11 bus up the hill (mountain) - easy!!! We loved that the apartment was away from the center of the city and thus we had access to grocery stores, two healthfood stores, and a variety of little eating places and pizza for slices to go. It was quiet and our bed was comfortable. Our host was lovely and easy to communicate with. I felt very at home here and would absolutely stay again!!!
We booked this place not knowing anything really about Montreal, and wow! did we hit it on the head! The place was delightful--just like the pictures---bright, stylish and very comfortable. The books in the bookshelf even featured my favorite mystery author! We were able to park the car all week (except for moving it a few hours on Thursday). We walked to the Snowden metro, could walk to a large grocery store, and lots of local eateries. We loved the neighborhood, and walked around it a lot, including a long walk up to St. Joseph's Oratory--not to be missed! We had a wonderful time, and I would come back in a heartbeat! Thanks, Elizabeth!
this apartment is exactly as described. Perfect alternative to a double room in a hotel. Everything works! We were able to park across the street every day - we are so glad the owner explained the compexity of the parking regulations because it was beyond me! supermarket, wine store and pharmacy within 5 minutes walk which seemned to be open all hours. Snowdon metro station is within 5 minutes walk and its 10 stops into downtown ( about 20 minutes). there are a very large number of take away restaurants on the main street but if you want fine dining you will need to go further afield. Great location to head out by car to the Laurentides and the small towns on the St Laurence
