It’s true... I visited the plateau a few times on vacations to Montreal (from vancouver) and now I live here. It’s such an amazing place, with amazing restaurants and bars... close to the mountain and the city. It is also full to the brim with amazing art including many massive murals. Also, for vegans and vegetarians, this is the best place to find great food in the city!

We stayed in an Airbnb in this neighborhood and it was amazing. Great restaurants, bakeries and cafes within walking distance. Lots of parks in close proximity. Interesting shops. Quite young and hip demographic. Gorgeous graffiti murals everywhere. Beautiful and iconic houses everywhere. Loved this neighborhood!!

I moved to Montreal a year ago and while searching for apartments, I fell in love with the Plateau - so much that I now call it home. It's the real spirit of Montreal - trendy, open-minded, artsy, cool. Lots of little shops and restaurants. In the spring/summer, get a bike and explore.

Vacationed in Montreal late October. Hiked around Mount Royal for a few hours. Took the subway from downtown to the back of the mountain then hiked through the park back to the hotel. Beautiful day the cemetry was very large well maintained.

This was by far the best neighborhood to stay in - it was so family friendly, safe with lots of options for eating and walking around.
