“A fabulous place to stay!”
Reviewed 30 July 2018 for a stay in July 2018

We had a wonderful time visiting Montreal, and this charming home added to our pleasure. The beautiful garden with fountain and bonsai trees was so peaceful. The beautiful prints/paintings on the walls. There were even chocolates upon our arrival! It was a pleasure to relax outside in the garden after a busy day in Montreal. The house is near the subway (I mean metro), too, so we didn’t use our car the entire week. Plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, or you can go into downtown Montreal to explore all it has to offer. The people on the subway were so kind and friendly. Guy and Lucie provided everything we needed. It was a hot week, but the AC kept the place cool for our return. We will definitely return!

This cozy home and its beautiful garden were the perfect jumping off point for Montreal. Every amenity we could think of was available. We enjoyed coming back from a day of site seeing and relaxing. The neighborhood was really walk-able with restaurants and groceries nearby. (my teenagers became huge Tim Horton fans). :ucie and Guy were the perfect hosts and we really recommend staying with them.

“Lovely home”
Reviewed 15 July 2017 for a stay in July 2017

This was a lovely house and the hosts were wonderful. The back garden is full of perfect bonsai trees. The property is a bit of a trek to downtown, but it is a short walk to a Metro stop.

“Great Location, Beautiful Home, Thoughtful Hosts.”

We had such an excellent stay at Maison Aux Pignons. Lucie and Guy were so welcoming and kind. They had every amenity: a full kitchen, comfortable beds, a beautiful bonsai garden, washer/dryer, parking, a big screen tv, and so much more. They were knowledgeable about fun things to do in Montreal, they spoke both English and French, and they were wonderful with our two children. We couldn't have asked for better hosts or a better trip. Conveniently located just 1 block from the metro. I highly recommend staying with them.

“Top Notch”

We stayed for three nights over the Labor Day weekend. The owners were there to greet me when I drove in after 10 hours on the road. The directions they gave me were spot on and helped a lot. When my wife's flight came in they agreed to meet her at the airport for a fee of $40 CAD and when she arrived a bit late for us to make our dinner reservation they took all 3 of us by car to the restaurant- amazing service and for free!
The apartment itself is a half of a duplex and is way above average. They have it decorated and furnished very nicely and the back yard is one of the most incredible bonsai gardens ever. I planned on cooking one night and as a chef am very picky about kitchens. This one had all the pans and dinnerware we could have wanted. It was the best furnished kitchen I have ever seen in a vacation rental. In the living room is a nice wrap-around couch where we lounged each night watching a bit of TV after our long days touring the city.
The owners are so nice and helpful it was a joy to stay here.
Just a word of warning: the rental is by train tracks and I'd recommend bringing earplugs. The airport is near also, Both stop running around midnight and we managed to sleep well.
The Metro stop is a mere 2 minute walk and was much appreciated during our stay to have it so close.
