The Ecomuseum is a nice place to take the kids or go for a walk and enjoy the animals. I really appreciate that they are helping animals in need. We had an enjoyable time looking at the different animals.

I'd definitely recommend this if you are in the area.

We went on a beautiful day, not too hot, which is good, because in higher heat, the animals are hiding in the shade and you won't see many of them. The zoo was nice, with a decent mix of animals, however the pathways were very poorly marked. There are a lot of forks in the paths, and although there are pictograms indicating which way certain animals are located, if you don't recognize the shape, it does not tie into the map pamphlet given as a guide. More signs at each fork, matching the number assigned on the map, or listing the name of the animal would make navigation easier. Further, signs indicating which way to go to get to the exit are also few in number. As a result, we wandered in circles many times in order to be sure we saw each exhibit

Good day,
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback regarding your visit. We're happy to read you had a nice visit.

We are currently working on improving the directional signage on-site, in order to help our guests better navigate around the different pathways.

Thank you!

The location is good, since you don't even have to leave the island. The stuff is great: friendly and very helpfull (they even let me to breastfeed my baby in the back of there office ). However, we did not see many animals... maybe we just came at a wrong time, or the weather was too hot, but most animals were sleeping, hiding from visitor's eyes. Keep in mind that there are no cafes or restaurants on site, so you have to bring the food and drinks with you if you plan to have a snack or a lunch. There is a big space with tables and chairs where you can eat your food, and it gets very crowded during the lunch hours. Overall, worth a visit, but don't think I'll become a regular guest.

Had a WONDERFUL visit here with a small group. Bit of a challenge to find; once you are off the Trans-Canada highway turn left at the T and look for the sign on the right that I missed. Careful, it's a one and one-half lane driveway that goes in and out simultaneously.
Easy walk around the outside exhibits; not just animals but flora and fauna. BEAUTIFUL place. Critters are cute. Birds, too. Inside exhibits are real winners, in my opinion, especially the aquatics and the nocturnals.
Well worth the effort to find this wonderful place. Staff is VERY helpful. You wouldn't expect less from these good Canadians.
If you go west after leaving you leave the island of Montreal and end up in a less pricey place to shop, a local told me. There is also an aircraft museum while you are still on the island. Quite a respite from New and Old Montreal.
Look forward to seeing you here when I get back.
