Having been to Bouillon Bilk a few times and had given it a great review. We were looking forward to going the wine bar run by the same people.Parking can be difficult, we arrived on time and were shown to our table. Our I Weather explain the menu to us plate size is larger than tapas style. Since we were two couples we decided to try eight different dishes( more than enough food) Everything was excellent with a lot of interesting flavour combinations. The wine list was adequate with plenty to choose from. Would definitely recommend Cadet .

You can get a little bit of many foods and taste several foods. The service is very satisfactory and fast. The staff are very responsive and did a good job on wine service. I would like to visit this restaurant once again.

3 course was... chicken tights, cod a bras, nd the veal

4 course was desser and coffee...... OMG the bread pudding was to dye for.... thats what the guys had... we had sundea and cheese cake

and the wine was Occhioverde realky nice and reasonable (45$) for restaurent

Stopped in after a lical recommendation and we're absolutely thrilled with everything from the food to the service! Our favorite was the sea bass, only time I've ever had whole bass on a plate. Probably about a pound and a half bass fried and with an amazing crispness. Not greasy! Service was five star never a neef to flag down someone for anything. Absolutely great!

Cadet is know for its small plate menu. Don't be fooled. The portions here are made to share and in typical Montreal fashion are not so small plates. The food was delicious, the combinations of flavor and textures impressive. We ordered the fried oysters which were fresh, crispy, perfectly sauced and matched to the medley of small sliced vegetables which accompanied the oysters. We also had the house baked focaccia which came with a spicy remoulade dipping sauce, a spicy roasted rabbit (a special that night), the smoked pork with lardo and gnocchi and the broccoli with spaetzle. All of the dishes were well prepared and nicely presented by our server who was friendly and knowledgeable. She recommended a local Quebec white wine (Rosiers 2016) which was crisp and dry with nice body which paired well with all of the dishes. Definitely give Cadet a try.
