“relaxed atmosphere, good food, but noisy”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 February 2012

I went with friends for a dinner during the Winterlicious festival, so needless to say the restaurant was very full - and as a result it was pretty noisy. But the food was really good and I enjoyed the casual and laid-back feeling to the restaurant - I'll definitely go again, hopefully when it's a little less crowded.

“Unpretentious, great food, nice room”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 January 2012

Best Italian food I've had in a long time. The menu changes frequently, according to our server, so it means there's some creativity at play in the kitchen. Polpette (meatballs) were outstanding, veal-wrapped spinach in a really unusual tomato sauce was fantastic, sides of Brussels sprouts with anchovy, zucchini and rapini were simple and good. Heard other tables around us compliment the food also. Service was OK, a little on the inattentive side for water, wine and bill, but pleasant all the same. The room is noisy and for some reason they left the music running at high volume as well, so it was a little difficult to hear each other at points. Nevertheless, a good atmosphere. Value for money is remarkable. May they live long and prosper.

“Not a great experience”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 December 2011

Went for a staff Christmas Party and wasn't impressed. There was very little lighting which made it difficult to see the food, it was also loud and the tables were very narrow. We were limited to two types of Beers .The "Baseball Cut NY Steak" was a very small portion, although it was well cooked. I left the restaurant disappointed and hungry!

“I ate at both”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 November 2010

The owner of 7 Numbers also owns Gio Rana (another but more $$$ Italian in YYZ). This restaurant, surrounding by Greek choices, is eclectic and interesting. Hip music in an Italian restaurant, who'd of thought? The food, chalkboard style, has all the makings of a unique meal. Something fresh, something new. Sadly, it doesn't fully live up to all that is promised but it's less pricey Rana and a nice place for a date night or a little 1-on-1 time.

Eclectic decor, hip locale, rustic, flavourful fare. Sardines and other appetisers on Winterlicious menu (http://is.gd/iVKr) were excellent.
