Johnny's is a Scarborough institution. Myself and friends have been going there for over forty years. Johnny's was and still is the burger place in Scarborough. Best bang for your buck and open late. In the 70's, 80's and even now, everyone ended up meeting there, after the evening ended. Everyone in Scarborough and elsewhere, has a story about Johnny's. Glad to see they didn't cave in, when they where offered to be bought out and torn down. Johnny's is still standing. I am happy to say my children and now grandchildren, all can enjoy a good burger for a good price. Scarborough supports Johnny's and always will. Put it on your to-do list, when in Scarborough.

Johnny's Hamburgers is an institution in the east end of the city. Growing up in the west end meant we never traveled to this area. So after all of these years, I found myself at Johnny's. The menus is simple with their offerings of burgers, fries and drinks. The service was professional and friendly. The lineup of customers just showed how people love this place. The food, served quickly and hot was great. Absolutely no complaints. Yes, the place is worth a visit if you are in the area. Toronto is blessed with some great burger places and Johnny`s is certainly a crowd pleaser.

Well so much for Nostalgia. Had not been to Johnny's in 25 years and should have waited another 25 years. I will list the good first. Chocolate Shake was great and the guy working the cash was very nice and professional. As for the food, Yikes, the Burger Frozen (not fresh paddy) Do they use Leaf Practice Pucks from the ACC ?? The Fries, Frozen (not fresh cut) The Oil they were cooked in must have been the same Oil when I was there 25 years ago. They still have the same discrepant, 75 Year Old Picnic Tables, but now out back and no longer in front of the place, People seriously if you want the Best Greek, Charbroiled Joint around and freshly made not frozen Beef Paddy's and Burgers and Fries in Town , try the Burger Shack at Avenue Rd and Eglinton or the Golden Star at Yonge and Steeles. Sadly Johnny's was horrible, I threw half of it out. .

I love this place. It's like walking back in time. Insanely yummy burgers, fries and chocolate shakes. All done old school! Clean, fast and cheap!

It's not always just the food but it is also the staff and the feeling you get when you walk in a restaurant. Johnny's was friendly and organized and had a clean appearance despite being a fixture in that area for years. At 12:15 AM there were at least 10 orders on the go and the parking lot was filled. The rings were decent and the Burger was great. 4 oz. Party with a double for only $1.65 extra standard fixings were good. Would definitely go back and see if their milkshakes make the grade.
