Took our family there but were very disappointed, menu seemed interesting enough but the delivery did not leave up to the expectation, seafood dish with gnocchi came with barely any seafood but packed with the heaviest gnocchi I ever met ! Same for the side dishes, deep fried zucchini had a batter so thick ! Getting bread for the table was a very lenghty affair and ended up with terribly bad bread. The waiter did not mention the prices from the board menu and when they are so disproportionate to the regular menu it is a fault. Desserts concluded with the same batter over raw apple slices, terrible !

I have had the pleasure of eating at Catch many times since it reopened in February this year. I return often because there are so many amazing dishes to try and the environment is always fun and friendly. I have many favourite dishes but here are a few that are must tries when you visit Catch. The other great perk is you can bring your own wine and the corking fee is super reasonable.

Snacks: So many great options, mushroom soup bombs will bring you back to your childhood, shrimp rolls are so creamy and melt in your mouth delicious, and finally Catch has the freshest Oysters I've ever tried, the mignonette makes it!

Apps: Tuna tartare - citrus fresh meaty tuna accompanied by light crispy taro chips. N.B Chowder with loads of seafood, I couldn't believe the generous portion of lobster in this chowder. Also, the asparagus salad is perfectly balanced and made me crave asparagus.

Mains: Scallops by far are the best I have ever had. Scallops are large and the portion is more than generous. Chef Matty also changes up the flavours to keep it interesting. The trout is also a great dish. Crispy skin paired with a tangy potato vegetable salad is the perfect summer dish. The octopus is something I've never had until Catch, but now order often. It's grilled to perfection and paired with a smoky-sweet chorizo jam - I always fight my friends for the crispy ends.

Dessert: You can't go wrong with any of the selections but if I had to choose, I always make room for the apple fritter. Light and airy outside, warm and gooey inside, smothered in caramel. Need I say more?

Lastly, the atmosphere is fun and lively. Great music selection and the bartender Ian is very helpful with choosing wine pairings. I also love that they added a patio, but the downside is you can't watch the Chef and kitchen crew make kitchen magic from there. However, more seats means you won't have to wait long for a table, but they do take resos which is a bonus!

I highly recommend checking out Catch, my vote as St. Clair Wests best restaurant!

Just had dinner here, walked in and was informed that they were fully booked so sat on the patio. Menu is limited and their fish list has no prices to the big catch menu served with 2 sides. Tried the-
-crispy trout served with pickled vegetables (yuk) fish had a nice taste
- scallops , small portions, just average
- lobster, served sparingly but nice. Overall, nothing really special in terms of taste, seasoning, or portions.
Room was nicely decorated.
One thing I did notice in the open kitchen was the chefs using their phones in between cooking (dis they wash their hands prior to food handling ); one chef kept on picking on something on his face.
Patio started to fill up and still no customers inside their restaurant that they said was fully booked, it was 7:15 by then. Bartenders were sampling some wine and taking their time.
As there was nothing really outstanding with respect to the taste, menu...there is nothing more to write about.
St Clair has a ton of restaurants, please try something else.

The whole fish is the best choice, it is perfectly spiced and cooked to perfection. The fried zucchini is a nice change for a side. The waiting staff are pleasant and quick on replacing employ glasses ;) Enjoy...
