I booked the hotel room through AAA. When we went to check in we were met by a very rude, abrupt and nasty receptionist. She demanded to see my AAA card and refused to allow us to check in without it. I handed her our printed reservation confirming the rate with my identification number on the paper. She refused to check us in and stormed away to get the manager Mark. He allowed us to check in but insisted that without the physical card he would not honor my prepaid reservation and would charge us a higher rate.
The room was awful, paint chipped away from the closet doors, old dated furniture that even the salvation army wouldn't accept, worn out carpeting and a bathtub with a dirty shower curtain.
To pay almost $300.00 to be treated like garbage, I am taking my business to the Four Seasons or the Intercontinental where they understand what customer service is all about. Marriott has hired unprofessional staff and has allowed their facilities to deteriorate.More
