Stayed here after our flight was cancelled. Front desk staff were professional and courteous, and the room was nice. We got food vouchers from the airline, so we planned on having a nice relaxing meal after a long, frustrating day. But it was not to be. The restaurant - La Brasserie - was short-staffed. We waited for about 15 minutes for the waiter, and when he came we asked for dinner menus. He "recommended" the buffet for $15, but we declined as we wished to order from the dinner menu. He brought us our drinks, and then he didn't return to our table for another hour. We finally flagged him down and asked to place our order. He said "Yes, right away" and then walked away and started busing tables which had come in long after us. He didn't come back so we got up and left. We spoke to the restaurant manager about the lack of service, and all he said was that they were "busy." He recommended ordering room service but warned that if we wanted any entrees they would take "at least 45 minutes." Clearly being steered away from the entrees by both the waiter and the manager, and frustrated and starving, we caved and ordered two burgers and fries. They arrived at our room an hour later, the fries cold along with something that vaguely resembled a hamburger. Will never eat in that restaurant again. Oh, and way overpriced.

Dear “Jon-0-vision” thank you for your review. Please note that on February 7th and 8th we had a number of delays caused by a winter storm that blanketed Toronto, its surrounding areas and part of upper state New York. The disruption of service extended from hundredth of flights being cancelled and guests with families being diverted to our hotel. We are happy that most of our staff were able to make their way safely to work despite road conditions, however, our staffing was still effected by those staff members that were snowed in or took additional time to make it into work.

Thank you again for your review and we hope that this experience doesn’t keep you from visiting us again in the near future.

Kind regards,

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza Toronto Airport on business at the end of January 2013. We checked in on a Sunday afternoon, so we did not have a great choice of rooms, in fact I think we were given the last room of the hotel. We were given 1225 which was at the very end of the very last floor of the Crowne Plaza. The room was a real horror story. It was cold, dingy and it smelled like someone had been chain-smoking in it for a week. The smoke detector had been covered with a plastic bag. I called down to the front desk and miracles of miracles, there was another room available and it was just down the hall ( room 1214). The handyman who came up to remove the plastic bag off of the smoke detector also gave us our new room keys ( what personal service !)
Did I mention that we were on the 12th floor but the elevator only goes to the 11th floor? There were stairs of course, but when you have heavy luggage, that one flight of stairs seems really long.
The new room was quite spacious and recently renovated. The bed was king size and the bathroom was of average size. There was no separate shower stall, just your average shower and bathtub combo with a curtain. All in all, an average airport hotel room.

The gym was pretty good, but way too hot. There was a cable machine and a good collection of free weights and barbells. There were about 8 or 9 treadmills, stair-masters, bikes.

The free wifi was really slow in the morning and in the evenings. Sure it was free, but it was next to useless. The only thing slower than the wifi was the breakfast service in the restaurant. This is unacceptable in a hotel catering to business people. We paid a bit more to have a «free» breakfast, and when we saw what it was, we were glad to not have to pay the full price. The choice was very limited ( hardboiled or scrambled eggs ) and the quality was about as good as the average high school cafeteria. The coffee was Starbucks, though. This buffet breakfast was one of the saddest we have seen.

Stayed for 4 nights and would return again. Beds are very comfortable and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel restaurant is good and there are a few other nice restaurants very close. I have no hesitation recommending this hotel.

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel on quite a few occasions. We stay before and after flights from the airport, and my husband stays when he is attending business meetings/trade shows in the area.
The rates are competitive for the calibre of hotel. Yes, you can stay for less at other hotels, but they do not, in our opinion, offer the same standard of room and service.
The rooms are small and as such, so are the bathrooms. But really how much room do you need if you are just sleeping over? I have always found them to be very clean and adequately appointed. The beds and pillows are VERY comfortable.
If you are sensitive to outside noise be sure to get a room facing the forecourt of the hotel. The back side backs onto Hwy 27. Overall we have not had any issues with the shuttle, apart from one occasion, where we did have to wait for ages in the cold.
This will remain our 'go to' hotel.

Room tip: There is a specific floor that is zoned 'quiet'. There is extra soundproofing. I believe it is floor 5 or 6. There is a $20.00 surcharge per room for this floor.

Dont ever stay at this hotel! We went to the Dominican, stayed at this hotel the night before our flight, they assure you they have 24/7 security cameras - until your truck is stolen, then they say the cameras didn't cover that part of the lot and OPP say even if it did the recordings are so poor you would never know what was happening in the lot anyway.
Stay FAR AWAY from this hotel. No support from the hotel in returning, they maintain they have 24/7 coverage even when you stand there telling them the police have seen proof that this is not the case.

Dear “Amber T”, we are monitored both by a surveillance system and our staff that patrol the parking lot at nights, however, these measure are meant to deter as blinds spot do exist even with a 24 hour system.

Our staff are on site to assist any guest in any situation; in your case, such as contacting the necessary law enforcement agency.

Kind regards,
