This was a very nice hotel with all the things you need and very good service level. For the first time I got a room facing a stadium (Rogers Center)! To clarify, open the windows and you´re part of the stadium grandstand with excellent overview. Perfect for game night!

Only drawback is CAD. 13,- for internet in you room (free in lobby area). Everything else is just a very good hotel experience.

We stayed one night while in Toronto for basketball and soccer games. The room was clean and very adequate. The buffet breakfast including an omelette station, juice, and coffee for $18 was a great deal. Every staff member I interacted with was professional and helpful. Special thanks to Felicia who went out of her away to be helpful and provide assistance.
I would return to this hotel largely because of the staff was so helpful and made my trip hassel free.

On a recent trip to Canada we visited 3 cities and 3 different hotels and the Renaissance was by far the worst one and worst part of the trip. First off the room was "ok" nothing really bad very outdated look to halls and room...ok setup with 2 separate rooms and 2 TV's but in order to get to our room we had to walk what seemed to be a 1/4 mile from the elevator. I was traveling with my newborn and an elderly woman so this was very inconvenient for us but maybe thats all they had for us who knows. On the other hand the staff was very poor to say the least. On numerous occasions they were surly and didn't want to help at all. We parked there (30USD per day) and needed to get something from the car and we were told to go to garage and talk to the guy there. The lot attendant didn't get up from whatever he was doing in the office and just told us where the vicinity of the car was parked. We had a good time in Toronto but none of it was to do with the hotel maybe it was to do with the fact we didn't ever want to be in it....

Room Tip: Be sure to ask for a room near elevator or get a good pair of walking shoes

I recently stayed at the Renaissance Toronto Downtown Hotel with two friends, as we were attending a concert at the Ricoh Coliseum. The hotel was easy to find, checkin was efficient and friendly, as was the valet parking.

Our room was nice and big - we had two double beds, a separate sitting area, and a nice big closet with lighting. The bathroom was also large which was great for three women getting ready to go out. It was very clean, comfortable, and exactly what we needed.

We were able to walk to Boston Pizza which was very closeby, grab a cab to the venue for only $12.00, and again on the way back. We then had a tea in the lounge before we turned in for the night.

We didn't have time to check out all of the hotel amenities, as it was a very quick trip just down and back for the concert, so we were really only there to sleep, but it was great for what we needed it for.

If you want a nice, clean, friendly hotel closeby to all downtown attactions and amenities (it's right at the Roger's Centre, CN Tower, and Air Canada Centre, and is only a short cab ride away from the Ricoh Centre and Molson Amphitheatre) then I would definately recommend this hotel.

This hotel is very unique in that it is attached to the Rogers Center Dome. That also brings with it a few down sides. This past week they were hosting the motocross race in the dome. The odor of exhaust was noticeable to say the least. The rooms are great, and the views facing the city were pretty cool. My stay was a bit tarnished due to the smell in the lobby the day of the race. I would definitely not recommend staying there if there is a similar event taking place. Food was good, but pricey. That's pretty much Toronto though.

Room Tip: Face the street!
