My husband and I went to The Prune last Friday night (soft opening for the season). Their season opened last Saturday. It was amazing! The food is excellent. I have eaten at a lot of nice restaurants all over Canada and US and this food ranks up there as one of the best meals. Wine list is excellent (much better than it used to be). The restaurant looks more modern and Bar 151 is going to be opening as a Wine and Seafood Bar - something Stratford needs. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and it shows they truly enjoy what they do. We highly recommend The Prune - a truly memorable experience that we will definitely come back to. Looking forward to trying Bar 151 for some great wine and fresh seafood. The chef was very accommodating to my dietary needs because I have celiac so I also recommend to anyone with dietary restrictions. An excellent experience for tourists and locals (which we are). Thank you for a lovely enjoyable evening.

We had only stopped in for a drink this summer and found it to be a cute and quiet hang out spot. The menu is a bit higher end and pricy and would be good for a couples or friends dinner before the theatre (which is in walking distance). Can’t speak to the food but hear it is good.

This is one of those establishments that sets itself apart by charging incredibly high prices for its offerings.
Worth trying out if money is no object.

This year we visited the prune for the first time after it being recommended. It is a pretty restaurant with pleasant patio area dining for warm weather. The food was good but not outstanding although the staff were anxious that we had a good dining experience. Would return on another visit.

We booked prune for a seasonal family gathering. And boy are we all happy we did.. we arrived and were seated in the front of the house (which is the bar area) told that our table would be ready shortly.. After enjoying a beverage we were quickly seated by the most pleasant staff that we have experienced in a long time. Professional and sheerly delightful, a definite match to the scrumptious food.. we were made to feel welcome and right at home while we enjoyed there 4 course menu option.. each course well thought out and seasonally pleasing.. it was a wonderful night one that will be remembered for a long time.. thank you
