We were looking forward to having lunch and found you had gone from the location on Erie St.; we were saddened and took lunch elsewhere. Next day, while walking about town between plays we were delighted to find that the York Street Kitchen had returned to it's former premises on York St. In celebration, we joyously ordered a take out lunch and enjoyed it at picnic benches on Tom Patterson Island, not far from the Festival Theatre and our matinee show.
The place appears to get very busy at lunch and all the tables were occupied. A number of people elected to get their orders to go, and the staff were also working on orders phoned in or send in via and App on their smartphones. Be prepared for a 10-15 minute wait during peak periods. The sandwiches are good and for us, worth the wait.
We'll be back, try not to make us play hide-and-seek next time.
