This is the third time we have stayed at Pelee Places with Bev. We were so happy to back. This was our longest stay on the island (we were there a week). Had a change of vacation plans at the last minute, but luckily there was a vacancy at the Stone House. We have stayed here before and we love it. The pictures I posted with this review speak for themselves. Great kitchen if you need/want to cook. Realize that amenities are scarce on Pelee, so if you need something special, get it before coming. The "co-op" has some good items, i.e., basic produce, meats, and the "basics" but their selection is very "thin."
Anyway, we cooked out on the grill three or four times and it was great. The gazebo out back is great for dinner. We love eating out there.
The waterfront is spectacular. The water is up right now, so there is no beach to speak of, but I got in a waded around and swam. Very nice. There is a deck right on the water which presents beautiful views in all directions. Sunset is particularly good.
Bev is a very gracious hostess and she always makes us feel welcome. I could not imagine staying on Pelee and not staying with Bev. (She is an excellent cook, so if you have the opportunity for breakfast, take it!).More
