A beautiful heritage cottage in a quiet street but within walking distance from the busy tourist strip. Our host Elsie Mae was delightful and provided an exceptional home cooked breakfast.
The room was cosy, clean and very comfortable. The cottage gardens were delightful and private. I would definitely recommend this BnB if you’re intending to visit Niagara On the Lake.

We wanted to treat our American friend to a visit in Niagara on the Lake. We found the Schoolmasters House B and B had the perfect suite for 3 friends... 2 bedrooms with a shared bath and sitting area. Elsie Mae was a wonderful host and accomodated dietary needs as well as providing a boxed breakfast for an early departure. I have told all my friends and hope to return again.

We four couples stayed three nights with Elsie Mae and Piper, Jason was away on business. This is an old building so there are some quirky features such as a step down into the bathroom, etc, but adds to the charm. The breakfasts were great and we had a wonderful time. Waling distance to downtown and theaters.

Room tip: The king bedroom was wonderful, the suite has two small twin bedded rooms.

My friends and I just returned from a 4 day stay at Schoolmaster's House and NOTL. We loved this B & B. Elsie Mae and Jason were wonderful. She is involved with the community and is a fabulous ambassador for the area. She made wonderful recommendations for attractions and wineries. We enjoyed relaxing in the beautiful garden. We chose to have cocktails outside daily and Elsie Mae delivered ice for our cocktails whenever she saw us return. We also enjoyed playing with Piper, their little dog. We had the suite, which was perfect for the 4 of us. This 200 year old home was updated to accommodate the B & B. We were quite comfortable. Elsie Mae's breakfasts were fabulous. Her choices were both delicious and beautifully displayed. She appeared to really love to cook and we were the grateful recipients of her love. We would return to Schoolmaster's House without reservation. The only downside we could mention would be that this site is a number of blocks from the Shaw Festival Theater. One of our group was unable to walk longer distances so we needed to drive to the theater, but for anyone who likes to walk, this would not be a problem. We really loved this B & B and the hosts.

Room tip: We enjoyed the Porter Suite for the 4 of us.

We spent 4 nights for a girls getaway weekend and it was wonderful! Elsie, Jason and Piper were great! The rooms were comfy, the breakfasts were delicious, the garden was beautiful and the location was perfect! Best B & B we have ever stayed in and we'd love to return some day.
