I just got back from a lovely visit to Niagara-on-the-Lake and stayed at this amazing bed and breakfast very close to the historic downtown. From the moment we drove up, we knew it was going to be a memorable trip!
We were greeted at the door by Elsie Mae and Piper the dog, who is so friendly and adorable. The house is simply amazing. Elsie Mae inviting us into the living room to chat and sit in front of the fire. We stayed in the Hearth Room, which was so cozy. The bathtub was a major plus as well as our own fireplace, which we lit in the evening. Everything was so comfortable, clean, and nice.
Breakfast in the morning was lovely. Elsie Mae made yogurt, lemon poppy seed bread, cheese and tomato frittata, and maple sausage. It was like a gourmet breakfast! Everything tasted amazing, and we sat and talked with a couple and Elsie Mae for over an hour. It was our absolute favorite part of the trip.
The bed and breakfast is so close to the lake and to town that you can walk, really. We had such a fantastic time and hope that you will as well. Our only regret is that we didn't come in the summer to see the beautiful gardens in the back, but I guess we'll just have to come back in the spring/summer.More
