They close their lunch buffet at 3 pm to prepare for supper, so we arrived and had half an hour to devour what we wanted. We were told 10 minutes before the buffet closed as well so we could take a plate full or two back to the table. Every single buffet option was fresh, wonderfully arranged on the plates,...even though they were ready to clear the buffet. The food is always amazing,..so much to choose from, always hot, 4 soups to choose from, beef, noodles, chicken, salads, egg rolls, spring rolls and desserts galore. Just not enough room to mention everything, literally hundreds of options to choose from. Someone at the table beside us was celebrating an anniversary and 2 ladies came with fancy Chinese hats for them and sand a song to honour them, took a photo and within minutes they had it framed and returned to them with no charge for a nice memory for them. With a beer each, the total was $50 which is very well worth it, as you have every item imaginable. The service was incredible, with warm welcomes at the door and a cheery farewell on the way out. What a treat to go here, it never fails to impress.

This is Mandarin's second Brampton location and is a very good alternative to the main location off Hwy. 410 if they're overflowing (which they often are). The food here is consistently good and only very slightly inferior to the main location.

I'm a little surprised they didn't make this location bigger from the start as it fills very quickly. But the usual Mandarin fare can be found here and as with the main location is very highly recommended.

So we call ahead to get reservations for 3 people at 6:15pm on Friday night, we get to the restaurant and no problem getting seated, and drink order is taken and off we went to the buffet, as always, top notch fresh food, and every thought of a diet or control goes out the window! Love that soft drinks refills are free and keeps coming, the food was great and including every sort of western and Chinese dishes. One glass of wine, one drink with no alcohol and one soft drink with tip $144.85 so not a place if you are on a budget, but didn't have worry about eating again for the next 18 hours or so! We even had the manager Daniel Tjandra drop by our table, asked if everything was good, could he help in anyway to assist us, which was very nice touch, and he even left us his business card! Daniel very well done!

As the Chinese say “A full belly conquers all.” And if you go to the Mandarin, trust me, you will conquer all. What negative word can be said about the abundant Mandarin buffet? Maybe they don’t have French Canadian food on the buffet? Or they don’t allow me in ahead of their other guests? I can’t think of another thing negative to say about this power house of a restaurant. If you are hungry and want to sample a million things, then go to the Mandarin. It’s fresh and it’s tasty. We always take our “out of town’ visitors to this place. There is lots of room, but it is busy so plan to wait to get in if you don’t have a reservation. Also make sure you borrow your wife’s maternity stretchy pants so you have room to eat. Anyway, enjoy the food and the ambiance. Good job Daniel and crew. Solid 4 out of 5!

If you choose carefully, you can get good value for your money. Stay away from the carbs; go for chicken wings, ribs and the proteins from the noodle dishes. The food is bland, but that's why they're so successful...appeal to the lowest common denominator. I always take my own hot sauce, since theirs isn't hot at all.
The service is good and it's a winning formula, obviously.
One caveat: just looking down at the carpet kind of makes my skin crawl...how many wontons and how much sweet and sour sauce? Tiles would be much more hygienic.
