The rooftop patio is amazing, and there are lots of wonderful nooks and crannies to hang out in throughout the library.

I often drop into this library. It has a good selection of books. But beside that it has many interesting areas. You can sit by the front entrance and watch the passersby on Spring Garden Road. The rooftop garden and patio are lovely. And excellent coffee and snacks are available at the two Pavia locations in the library.

The rooftop gardens, the rooftop sitting area, architecture, cafe., all I can say is that it’s worth going inside this library.

We attended a lecture here and a reception after on the top floor where the glass extension is and also a roof patio that overlooks the city and harbour. Lovely spot where it must be a pleasure to curl up with a good book. Nice one, Halifax!
