It is nice in the summer we went from Halifax to Dartmouth. They have lots of things to do at the wharf in Halifax. IN Dartmouth on Saturday they have a market set up where you can buy veggies etc The ocean breeze is nice and it is only a short boat ride.

At 2.5 CAD one way, the ferry offers the best view of Halifax.
One can see the naval yard with many powerful warships and the skyline of the city.
Many commuters are rushing with tired and disinterested facial expressions.

Cheapest and quickest harbor tour of Halifax. Lots of opportunity for photos on both side of the harbor and at a fraction of the time/cost of the touristy tours.

this link between Halifax and Darttmouth is a life line for many who use the service to get to work. On the other hand it is a nice way to spend a few hours just being out on the water and sight see. I like to leave my vehicle in Dartmouth and cross to the waterfront on the Halifax side. Spend a few hours on the waterfront and then take the ferry back to Dartmouth.
