We went on a Sunday and there were lots of different vendors. Quite a mix of fruits, vegetables, food, crafts etc. This is a large market. There is even a vendor where you can get a gallon of wild blueberries for $20!

Next to this building is another huge market for tourists on cruise ships. Lots of good vendors there too including cheaper T-shirt’s which make great gifts.

Mostly crafts and very commercial. We were there on Saturday late and Sunday earlier and only saw a couple stands of fresh fruit or vegetables each day. A variety of food court places, ethnic fast food. Some possibly local jams, honeys, etc. Disappointing,

Well we went there today. I was so excited to go but gotta say....and I don’t want to....what a let down. This huge lit up building- I was expecting so much. We walked through and walked out. It is Sunday. Could that be why? Don’t go out of your way. Sorry.

We walked thru the market during the week but only saw one veggie stand and only a lot of local crafts. They were beautiful but we were looking for veggies and seafood. One vendor told us to come back on the weekends as that's when it is really packed with vendors. She was correct - Saturday morning early the place was buzzing with vendors and customers. Lots of veggie stands, cheeses, breads, fruits, meats, and more. Great place to go for breakfast and have coffee and pastries. Or for lunch and have indian food or chinese or other foods. Go early if you want the best selection.

We were off our cruise ship, Ms Zuiderdam and enjoyed visiting the different food vendors in the market. Yummy lobster rolls that were SO worth the wait, a great date nut bar and caramel corn freshly made! If you live in Halifax, you should go!!
