This 19th century converted inn has a great location within easy walking distance of the Halifax harbour and its historic downtown points of interest, including The Citadel, Clock Tower, Pier 21, and many more. The inn had wonderful and very helpful reception clerks and provided a very good continental breakfast. The room itself was comfortable but it was difficult to move luggage up the narrow staircase. The bathroom in first room we stayed in was in a very poor location right beside the head of the bed. The second room was much better in terms of its organization. Parking was conveniently located but did not offer enough spaces for all tenants. As such, off-site parking was also available but highly inconvenient.

My wife and stayed at the Halliburton for a three night visit to Halifax. This was our first time in Halifax and we found the location of the hotel to be just perfect. Everything you want to see is within easy walking distance. The staff were amazing and easily accommodated changing rooms for us when we found the first one a little too cool for our liking. The two rooms we had were very well fitted out and unique. We would highly recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to come again if we get the chance. And as an extra item, the restaurant Stories was excellent too!

Nice comfortable clean room with plenty of space. Bed was comfortable but pillows too fat and firm for us. Carpet was worn. Sound insulation not the greatest. Everyone working there is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant staff went above and beyond.
