We were on the Queen Mary 2 and arrived at this port for a day. The port is very nice with lots to do. It has a very long pier and plenty of food variety. This statue was quite the talk of the cruise line I was on, because of course the Queen Mary 2 is owned by CUNARD cruise line. Although I wasn't too happy with the cruise line though. Unfortunately they said the ship stays overnight at Boston harbor for the fireworks but they didn't so all the passengers missed the Boston 4th of July fireworks on this "Independence Cruise!" How ironic. Nevertheless, we did visit the Titanic graves in Halifax and its a very nice graveyard. Very well kept and worth the visit.

This statue honors Samuel Cunard Statue (famous for the Cunard Line). The placque explains a lot and is very informative.
