There's no single thing that's terrible about this place, but lots of small things add up to make it less than satisfactory. Here's a list of problems in my room:

- Smoke alarm hanging from ceiling by its wires

- Curtains that seem like they're made from tissue paper and thus quite translucent. Made all the better when the neighbours bright security light came on at 12:30am and didn't turn off. It lit up my entire room

- Towels with rips and holes in them (About $2 CAD coin size). I'm not even sure how you do that to a towel.

- A very weak shower. Also it was not fitted properly in the wall and wobbled about.

- Similarly, toilet flushing handle hung lose in cistern and could be easily pulled out some way by accident

- A faint but noticeable bleach smell in the room

- Bed linen and a general decor style that's about 60 years out of date. Personally, I did not find it very welcoming.

- A TV with no way to adjust the volume

I'm baffled at how this place has a 'certificate of excellence'. It is in desperate need of some attention and renovation. The bed was comfy enough, the room was clean, and the location is excellent, but that's about it.

If there was only 1 or 2 of the problems I mentioned, it would be fine. But they really start to add up. I would advise caution when booking here and do not recommend.

Nice older style motel. All rooms have kitchenettes. Easy walk to town and restaurants. Breakfast is delivered to room in basket - cereal, bagel, juice, milk, etc. The rooms do not have views, but nice view with chairs at end of property. For me the bed was to hard.

this motel is right on the shoreline with beautiful views and a viewing area but right in Digby. we walked to Shoreline restaurant for dinner and motel gave us a 10% off coupon. Our room was cottage like with a living room, bedroom and kitchenette. Breakfast is provided and is left in your frig and is ample. A toaster in room is great for bagels, plus we were given fruit cups, yogurt, milk, cereal and juice! The bed was a little hard and pillow only ok, but great value and front desk very helpful. Ask for room 6 or 7.

great staff, very clean, kitchen with breakfast basket and coffee maker is the best idea. great choice of breakfast foods. easy to walk everywhere, close to restaurants and shops. sitting out on the deck or lawn and watching the seals play was just so cool. also watching the tides come and go.
