The Legislature is an architectural gem with its Chamber, Library and spiral Staircase. Take a tour or visit the Gallery during a session. History with items dating from Colonial times. A must see!

When we found we were passing Fredericton we decided to tour the New Brunswick Legislative Assembly Building. The building was built in the 1880s to impress the public with the status of the Province of New Brunswick.

Our tour guide, Corben, did an excellent job of explaining the art and rooms of the building, all spiced with amusing associated anecdotes as well as the governmental forms and political parties of New Brunswick.

I recommend this tour for anyone interested in New Brunswick history and government. As well as Americans curious about the Canadian government system.

Stopped here while walking through downtown Fredericton. Wonderful discovery.

The tour of the building was FREE and given by a student. Great tour with lots of information about the building, politics and government.

The inside of the building is just as impressive as the outside. They have a BEAUTIFUL wooden spiral staircase, which you can you use to access the second floor.

Lots of artwork on the walls. Every piece of furniture is so detailed and a peice of artwork within themselves.

There is a small security booth you must pass through to enter the tour.

Small children may find this slightly boring. Older children, teenagers and adults wilk be amazed with the beauty of the building.

Wonderful, professional and friendly staff.

10/10

Would Recommend.

We visited Fredericton in July 2018. The free tour of the Legislative Assembly Building was very educational as well as very beautiful. We had a 'private tour' as there was a guide available and no other visitors at the time of our visit. meaning were are able to ask as many questions as we wanted, take our time and take lots of photos.

I have been to the building several times over the years. There is a tour guide and I am always learning new things about the past which is very interesting! Great history lesson and also learning about the provincial government as well!
