Stopped here while walking through downtown Fredericton. Wonderful discovery.

The tour of the building was FREE and given by a student. Great tour with lots of information about the building, politics and government.

The inside of the building is just as impressive as the outside. They have a BEAUTIFUL wooden spiral staircase, which you can you use to access the second floor.

Lots of artwork on the walls. Every piece of furniture is so detailed and a peice of artwork within themselves.

There is a small security booth you must pass through to enter the tour.

Small children may find this slightly boring. Older children, teenagers and adults wilk be amazed with the beauty of the building.

Wonderful, professional and friendly staff.

10/10

Would Recommend.

We visited Fredericton in July 2018. The free tour of the Legislative Assembly Building was very educational as well as very beautiful. We had a 'private tour' as there was a guide available and no other visitors at the time of our visit. meaning were are able to ask as many questions as we wanted, take our time and take lots of photos.

I have been to the building several times over the years. There is a tour guide and I am always learning new things about the past which is very interesting! Great history lesson and also learning about the provincial government as well!

Don't miss the free walk-in tours offered here! The free tour of the Legislative Assembly Building is worth the initial hassle of having to go through airport-style security screening and ID logging. The tour guide was very personable and clearly enthusiastic about telling the stories and history of this grand building. The story about Prince Charles' mischief decades ago at age 7 sure made us chuckle, and the unique pillar-less spiral staircase with low railing was quite the experience to walk on. There is much to learn and see on this tour. It is a great value for no cost! Don't miss the opportunity to visit here.

It is a well preserved building, with clean gardens and walking distance from the arts museum and the church of Christ
