My husband has stayed here before and was very happy with the accommodations. We had booked a new weekend for our kids sporting events that were cancelled due to weather. The staff were very accommodating and sympathetic and let us cancel last minute. Definitely will stay there next time!

We got here at about 11:00 PM, and the hotel was very hard to find! There are no street lights around, so if you don't have a GPS at this time of night you are in quite a bit of trouble. Anyways, the staff was nice as we only stayed for one night (we were travelling). The room smelled pretty bad and the room wasn't the greatest. Then again, it was a good hotel for a cheap price...

Room Tip: Rooms at back have a nice view of the lake

We had stayed the night before at the much acclaimed Auberge de la Pointe in Riviere du loop which had been a disaster and had driven all day through torrential rain and frankly we were not expecting much at this country resort outside of Fredricton.

On arrival it looked liked our pessimism would be confirmed, the exterior is in need of a coat of paint.....then we met Kaitlyn at the front desk ...the sun came out and things just kept getting better...our lower level room was comfortable, quiet and clean, convenient to the pool and hot tub, there are tennis courts and they have rackets and balls available,
The restaurant keeps decent hours and we ordered the seafood dinner, the most expensive thing on the menu at I think $22 eaten in a screen balcony with a view over the river. Service by our waitress Jenna was attentive and fast. The bacon wrapped scallops became a nightly must.
In the morning a stroll through the woods on their nature trail...every bit as pretty as the walk at Green Gables without a fee or tourists, it wanders along a stream, where eagles take off from the trees and beavers are building a dam...
what a great way to start the day and work up an appetite for their full breakfast and at under $7. why does anyone in Fredericton eat at McDonald's or Tim Hortons..plus location, location, location.
We were so taken with this place that we cancelled our other reservations and checked in for the week.
We tried just about everything on the menu and didn't have a bad meal..although we could have wished for a fruit plate.
One morning there was a generous buffet breakfast,
Coffee was excellent, and we enjoyed a few beers that we had not tried before.
We found it an easy location to tour from making day trips to Moncton, Fredericton, Woodstock and St Andrews.
Our one negative was a salad ordered with Balsamic vinger ... soya sauce was served instead...it took a little while to replace the salad. But an honest mistake. We loved this place. A rental canoe or sail boat would be a plus.
For even more privacy there are cabins available.
This would also be a great location for a wedding or conference.
We understand that it is scheduled for an exterior face lift.

Room Tip: I would go with a lake view

This place has amazing scenery and good amenities. While the rooms were a bit dated, it was well worth it's price. There's a great place to take a walk onto a deck on the back and a nice pool in the resort. The building itself is very gorgeous and scenic.
