Recently stayed here for a long weekend. We didn't know what to expect but, wow, it was great. Our room had a great mix of the "old" (i.e. vintage pieces that either were or looked like the the original fixtures) and the "new" with good AC, a lovely glass and metal desk and a state of the art TV. The room was bright, as was the bathroom (which is sorely missing in rooms these days), the bed was firm but so lovely and soft, the linens were soft as butter and the pillows were fantastic. The breakfast buffet was only $20 and included amazing, freshly made eggs benedict, waffles and amazing omelettes - all made to order. The staff were so pleasant and helpful and the gym was bright, big and well appointed. Highly recommend - especially for the great price!

Great night stay at our favorite hotel in Winnipeg ! Staff is amazing ... right from check in to check out they are always willing to help or answer a question. Paul and Ray in the lounge are so professional and always smiling when serving. The Valet guysare some of the best - and likely dont get enough credit - so want to gie them a shout out as well! Thanks Fort Garry - we will see you again on our next visit to Winnipeg

Visited fort Gary hotel in early September, pleasant enough room, although the
entry key system failed for much of the hotel and to gain access to rooms or the health spa, you needed to be accompanied by a master key holder. When the system finally did work, we were not advised nor did they apologise for the inconvenience and in fact we’re just short of rude in processing new keys. We had two rooms one dated and one modernised both prices similarly neither room had coffee or tea facilities, which I would expect as a minimum and bottled water was chargeable at over $6 ridiculous!!
The spa area and pool is dated but functional with access to a large sunny paved area tha is jointly used by local residents.
Breakfast was pleasant enough as was service in the bar with live music in the evenings.

We are excited to have finished renovations to all of our Guestrooms just last year, and we offer complimentary coffee delivery to your room between 7am-11am. We hope you're able to take advantage of the service on a future stay, as it's lovely for the fresh coffee and biscotti waiting outside your door in the morning on a silver tray. It was so neat to stay in such an old grand hotel. The room was lovely, the pillows were the most comfortable pillows I have ever slept on. We googled the brand name and they are on order. The breakfast was wonderful. We used the valet service which was a great choice.

The Fort Garry is very comfortable. I got a small room at a very good price. The service was first class. I found the Lounge pleasant, enjoying the quiet during the day and the live music at night. The Health Club is a terrific facility, with a real pool and a lap lane (a luxury that really helps my travel and is rarely found as part of a hotel complex); weekend hours at the Health Club could be longer, but that's my only criticism.
