Owner description: Whistler Blackcomb is consistently ranked the No. 1 ski resort in North America with over 8,171 acres of terrain. As a true four season resort, Whistler Blackcomb offers skiing and snowboarding in the winter and downhill mountain biking and alpine hiking in the summer. Guests can even enjoy summer skiing/riding on the Horstman Glacier in June and July. At Whistler Blackcomb, there is something for everyone all year long.

We waited 12 years between visits. Whistler is still one of the best all around ski resorts in the world.

Whistler Blackcombe is amazing, the ski fields iare so well resourced, with easy access lifts, that just keep going , friendly lifties, great signage around the mountain, helpful mountain guides and great restaraunts with such a range of food and drinks. Both fields offer heaps of variety in terrain and the grooming is extensive, if you are a skier, you will love this place!

The skiing & boarding are amazing. This is a big resort with tons of terrain that often experiences fog and snow. Navigating the high alpine in fog or snow like any mountain requires knowledge of the terrain, don't complain if you can't see, better yet - don't go. If you stay on mid-mountain chairs: solar coaster, jersey cream, excelerator, catskinner, crystal, red, emerald, garbanzo, franz's, then you should be able to find all the groomed, powder (in the trees) & visibility that you need to have a good time.
My four star rating is due to the magnitude of the village and resort. This is not an intimate ski-in/ski-out resort; if you want literally to ski to your door then go to the BC interior. Most village properties, and Blackcomb base/benchland properties, require a short walk, some require a long walk or bus/car trip. The village is big and can be noisy, so bring some earplugs if you want complete silence at night.
Most poor reviews of WB are due to weather and the complications of large resort logistics. Do your homework and know before you go, only then will you have a great time.

Unless you are an avid rider/skier putting in several weeks a year, this mountain (s), views, access to backcountry, snow, weather, lifts, service, price, location is without peer!
