Our family of 6: 4 adults and 2 children, enjoys the quiet location and the condo's proximity to the village. Tasteful and classical appointments throughout, alongside absolute cleanliness, are indicative of the pride the owners take towards their vacation home. The kitchen is well-equipped for those who love to cook. The second floor landing is a great spot for the children to play games or to accommodate a couple of little friends for a sleepover while peering over the open balcony to the main level. Here, the kitchen, dining and living rooms occupy open space with a fireplace with a quiet balcony equipped with a BBQ. It is a perfect spot for a week of R&R at Whistler, during any season. Besides its proximity to skiing, the unit is well-connected to various walking trails and bike routes. We highly recommend the unit and find it to be one of the nicest condos at Whistler.

Thank-you for taking the time to review this property.

Let me begin by explaining the security deposit. As this is a privately owned unit, we take a pre-authorization on a credit card to cover any damages, lost keys or parking passes. I'm sure you will find this is a very standard procedure when renting large vacation homes and this certainly would have been explained in detail on all the pre-arrival information you were sent.

I understand in your case (based on the giant banners your group decided to attach to the front of the property) that this was your stag party. Since we did not receive any noise complaints or have any reported damage after your group departed, the security deposit was released without any charges. I would like to believe that because of the deposit requiring your group to "walk on eggshells", we likely ensured that your group kept partying in the unit to a minimum, which therefore let other guests within the complex enjoy themselves and you and your friends remained mindful of your actions...exactly what the security deposit is designed to do.

This is a beautiful property and I'm sure you would agree it's a great place for a family getaway or ski vacation. As shown by the many other positive reviews it is definitely not deserving of the 1 star rating you provided. In future when organizing a party, I would suggest taking your concerns with regards to noise bylaws fines and security deposits to management directly.
