Good: We took the loft suite in November, when it was off-season. The location was perfect, it was clean and cozy.

Loved a lot our bed, the TV, the salon and 2 washrooms. We also liked the service in ski/snowboard room - the guy was very helpful and attentive to all our questions and requests.
Did not use the pool and hot-tub since it was very cold, but many other true Canadians enjoyed it a lot and we saw happy couples in bathrobes going up and down in the elevators.

Not so good:

- would recommend another restaurant instead of Old Spaghetti Factory that is located inside the hotel. The hostess was a bit arrogant and the service was extremely - (in an unnatural and pushy way) helpful after we were noticed filling in the feedback form.
- we had a very strange guy at our door when we went out in the evening, he was actually standing next to our door as if intended to knock on it. When I opened a door and unexpectedly saw him, he apologized and told that he made a mistake and went to the wrong room. Well...I didn't feel the same, the situation was really awkward. We did not report to the hotel since we never saw him again. Just keep your valuable belongings with you (not only for this particular hotel).
- the bath tub was not as clean as it was supposed to be (hair, and...you can easily see if it has been cleaned up before your arrival). That's why 4 out of 5.

All in all, still recommend the hotel for all type of travel company/individual.

This is the 4th consecutive stay at The Crystal when visiting Whistler and each time we have either stayed in either deluxe rooms, 1 bed suites or a very spacious 2 bed suite.

This time we were in a 1 bed suite with two bathrooms, pull down murphy bed and a sofa bed in the living area. The full kitchen was great for breakfasts.

Although I do consider staying at other hotels in Whistler I have not been able to find somewhere else that matches The Crystal's combination of location and value. Being on the main village stroll things can get noisy at night if your room faces the stroll but not too intrusive - if you are worried about this I suggest you request a room the other side.

Staff are all very friendly and helpful and I have noticed a few subtle improvements that demonstrates that The Crystal are trying to keep ahead of the competition. Free wi-fi was also another improvement from my last stay.

In summary, deluxe rooms and suites are spacious and well appointed, the hotel is in an excellent central location and reasonable value for money.

We've just returned from skiing in Whistler, our 3rd time in 12 years. Every time we've stayed at Crystal, even though going back to the same place is unusual for us. But Crystal simply offers the nicest rooms close to the lifts at a reasonable price. This year it also offered free WiFi for all guests.

The room was well-equipped, and comfortable. Staff is very, very friendly and helpful. The cleaning ladies are very accommodating and made us feel at home.

Crystal offers ice machines and a laundry near most lifts. The huge washing machine runs for $1.50 (+ washing powder), the massive tumble dryer takes $1.50 as well. Thus, for $3 we had clean socks, thermals and ski tops again - fantastic!

We'll be back...

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter.

This hotel was good, but nothing special. The room was big with a kitchen which was a plus, but that was about it. Service was good, the location was good, and the hotel was just good! A great place to stay on business, and a great place to just sleep in while spending your days out.
