I've had several trips to Vernon over the summer due to a complicated family situation and have tried several budget accommodations to keep expenses in check. To date, The Sandman has been the best. I was fortunate to have a room on the top floor that was situated in the back - for me that is very helpful and appreciated. It was quiet (other than some 4:30 a.m. service trucks) and the rooms were very clean. The bedding is clean and comfortable without the horrid bed covers that some places still use. The A/C was a bit musty smelling but I found the fan worked well and opened a window. Thick towels and very nice toiletries. The Sandman was a bit more expensive than some of the other area facilities, but well worth the price. The very nice check-in man immediately asked if we would require room service (which we declined) but there was no confusion on that. One thought might be an additional shelf in the bathroom to hold a few more towels. Parking can be a bit tight. Be aware that the attached Denny's (top form) is very busy. These are covid times and The Sandman delivered. I will book again in the future.

It is a rundown place that needs a major reno. It has an overwhelming odor of old motels. The service is mediocre. Understaffed. For about a 30 min around 9 pm there was noone at a check-in desk. People were just lining up in the hall. Upon a return the clerk was unapologetic. It is one of those places that you want to leave as soon as possible.

I have been stayin at the vernon Sandman inn and suites for 2 years now and it’s the best staffed and managed hotel going than all other places Ive stayed at for my job .the front desk staff is bar non the nicest and most helpful I’ve dealt with and they treat u like family ! Matt the manager there is the best and most accommodating manager I have dealt with and treats me very well , they have a hard working maid staff and they are very nice too , my room is always clean and if there is an issue it’s dealt with immediately! Keep up the great work you guys do and thankyou for making my stays carefree and enjoyable , one note : digital digital digital lol

We found our room at the Sandman to be a perfect base for exploring Vernon, BC recently. Spacious, comfortable and well equipped, friendly and helpful staff...and fresh apples available at the desk every day we were there! The neighbouring Denny’s proved ideal for a hearty breakfast as well. A great stay.

Our group stayed at the hotel for 8 nights in July, occupying 35 rooms.
Ahead of our arrival the hotel GM helped with our forward planning with a meticulous attention to detail, cooperation and flexibility to our specific requirements - we could not have asked for anything more.
Throughout our stay at the hotel, which is in a fantastic location in Vernon, the staff could not have done more to make us feel more welcome and relaxed, they frequently went more than the extra mile to help us with any issues or planning activities. They are motivated to serve and take pride in their work. Especially the night-manager 'Natalie' who helped with several issues as we worked through UK office hours on several occasions.
The wifi and indoor pool are great and all the rooms had very comfy beds, were well presented and generously appointed. The 24/7 on-site Denny's that also does room-service works really well and is a massive plus.
The service has continued since we left with the hotel taking proactive action on items that some of the group accidentally left behind.
Without a doubt our time in Vernon was brilliant because of the quality of the hotel, its location but most importantly the service of its staff.
