Description: A stylish sophisticated urban lounge in the heart of downtown Victoria, Veneto is the ideal place to unwind with co-workers and friends. Adorned in exotic wood, leather and Italian marble, Veneto seduces patrons with its extensive cocktail menu and its savoury offerings from our chef. Every entree is presented tapas style and comprised of three unique dishes within the entree. Our executive chef Tod Bosence has designed flavours that are unique yet complimentary, and that provide an engaging taste experience, ideal for sharing. Veneto's bartenders led by Simon Ogden, display their knowledge and passion with a classically inspired cocktail list. Fresh squeezed citrus, only top shelf spirits and exacting techniques. Veneto offers its patrons a small but significant wine selection, both by bottle and by the glass. We specialize in North American Craft beer as well as boast the largest selection of bourbons in the city.

Loved the menu options! We had the cheese and charcuterie board to start - super fresh with great selections and awesome value! The cocktail menu includes three Cocktail Flight options which offer three gourmet mini cocktails - they were fantastic! The two of us shared three tapas/small plates for dinner and it was more than enough for the two of us. The Sirloin Yorkshire Puddings were fantastic, and the Bacon + Caramelized Onion Dip with in-house made Kettle Cooked Chips - so delicious. Little ice cream cookie sandwiches made with fresh cookies were the perfect dessert! Ambience was upscale and perfect for a romantic dinner. We started at the bar, where service was very efficient but somewhat cool as the bartenders were clearly very busy. Atmosphere when we moved into the dining area was warmer and more relaxed.

Went to Veneto while staying at the Rialto hotel, and really enjoyed the tapas choices in a elegantly casual atmosphere. Ideal spot when everyone wants something but not ready for a large meal. We had a variety of sampler plates, and the brussels sprouts were a unanimous hit! The others were all good, including the scallops, tuna and prawns. Service was prompt and friendly and made for a good evening . Moved to the bar for a couple of cocktails after eating and were thoroughly entertained by the knowledgeable bar staff.

This place is a local winner, do you love craft cocktails, are you willing to take a risk? If so talk to the bartenders, tell them what flavor sand base alcohol that you like, sit back and be open to discovering a new favorite! The food is no less amazing, lots of small plates to share, great flavors :)

We had drinks and appetizers. The drinks were good, as was the cheese plate. The calamari was average. I ordered it because it was described as being served with peppers but there were only bits of them in a thick batter. That caused us to decide to go elsewhere for dinner. When we arrived the front of the lounge was full and we wound up in the back where it was too dark and cave-like. Service was so-so.

We visited while on holiday. Let me first say that the service was excellent. Our servers were appropriately attentive and very nice. The cocktail menu was did not look appealing to me since the drinks were all sweet. Opted for classic margaritas on the rocks. Drinks were good and strong, but they were incredibly small, like 4 oz juice glass size. Food was a bit eccentric. I'm not quite sure how I feel about gorgonzola on a steak with fries. On a pizza or a salad, yes, but it didn't quite fit with the dish we ordered. We also ordered a crab and lobster dip as a starter that was really delicious. It's a bit of a trendy place, and not really what I would call casual dining, but it felt comfortable enough for us.
