My boyfriend and I just visited Vancouver and was recommended the Waterfront location of the Cactus Club. It definitely did not disappoint. The view was amazing, food was delicious, music was trendy and up beat, the dim lighting created the perfect ambiance, happy hour was perfect and our waitress, Natalie P was so accommodating to my dairy allergy. She checked on everything to ensure I enjoyed my meal there. We will definitely come back when we visit Vancouver again!

We chose this for the view and although it describes itself as Coal Harbour, its actually in a perfect spot by Canada Place. Its huge, noisy and very good. There are tables outside looking over the plaza but the place to be is by the windows, overlooking the float planes and the sunset. Coming from the UK we blagged a view for ourselves and our guests and we had a great evening with excellent food (café style) and drinks, with very nice and efficient staff. We did have some trouble hearing each other, the usual problems of nothing to absorb the sound (no tablecloths, grrrrh) but we were there on a Friday evening and are older than what is the more usual crowd.

Awesome view overlooking Coal Harbor and next door to the Convention Center and the Olympic Torch from the Winter Olympics in 2010.

They have a cool happy hour from 2 to 5 weekdays in a very hip bar. A unique frozen drink called a Frose and a their own version of a frozen Bellini. Good food on happy hour menu with lots of choices. Across the street from the Fairmont Hotel we were staying at so almost a nightly ritual for us.

This cafe was awesome for dinner. The waitress provided outstanding service and the food and beverage menu was excellent. Can recommend the Californian reds on the wine list. The restaurant was really busy but the service was good and they added an extra touch to the desert as we were celebrating a family milestone. We will return next time we are in town.
